Out with the old... Welcome 2007!

As we say goodbye to 2006, I can't say I'm sad to see it go.

When I think of 2006, I feel it has been littered with bad luck, unfortunate events, and stagnation.

However, it's sorting through the muck that makes us that much wiser, appeciative, and more determined.

The end of the year was marked with some new beginnings.
This year will be a good year... for all of us.

Life is a series of events, with a little bit of luck and a touch of destiny, we will see what 2007 will bring.

Grey's Anatomy is a Great Show...

Because sometimes you get charming quotes:

At some point, you have to make a decision. Boundaries don't keep other people out. They fence you in. Life is messy. That's how we're made. So, you can waste your lives drawing lines. Or you can live your life crossing them. But there are some lines... that are way too dangerous to cross.

Stupid TTC

I hate public transit.

For those who love the TTC, you probably don't ride it late at night when all the rats come out.

I decided to wear a bright red polka dot dress and white pom-pom sweater today.

While I waited on the subway platform, I had these stupid teenagers make fun of me.
They kept calling me Santa's little helper.

Fuck you.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your life asking people if they would like to supersize their combo.

I don't understand how kids grow up without having respect for other people. They shouldn't even be on the subway late at night. I blame this on slack parenting.

Fuck your parents. If you can't bring up your kids with any decency, don't have kids.

Closer

So, I rewatched this movie again tonight... I'm trying to figure out why I like it.

It's not the type of movie that makes people feel good about relationships. But, I think it addresses questions that most people ask themselves at one point in time.

...What makes us fall in love?
...What is that pivotal moment? That warm fuzzy feeling?
...Are those feelings "real"?
...Why do people lie? Cheat?
...When did love become so selfish?

I like this movie because it's brutaly honest.

Don't get me wrong, I still like my sap-hap endings, the knight saves the princess and all that jazz... but a dose of reality is nice.

Not all fairytales have a happy ending... and sometimes endings are.. well...endings and nothing more.

But in this film, the ending is not just an ending.. it's my favorite part. The story finishes the way it started... with a moment.

Day and Night

I find myself looking at this D & G watch once again. It's called the "Day and Night."

It's a wonderful watch. I first saw it last summer in Switzerland. I saw it again when I was in Hong Kong. Yet, I could never bring myself to buy it.

It's not about the money.
It's not about how I don't need a watch.
It's about my priorities and my commitment to them.

I think I will continue to look at it. And one day, I will regret never buying it.
